In 2022, the world started to open up more + I felt more comfortable traveling again -- and travel we did! I knocked off a few new countries and states, visited amusement parks, returned back to places to visit family, and even took a few work trips. Of course, my "want to travel" list has continued to grow, and I already have a few epic 2023 trips booked that I can't wait to share more about (of course, Disney is included!). Of all of my travels, here are my top five of 2022.

London, England -- As part of a trip overseas for a wedding, we kicked it off in London -- which has been on my bucket list since college. It completely lived up to my expectations and we crammed as much as possible into two days, including Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, walking through Piccadilly Circus, touring a Navy ship and climbing the Tower Bridge, and just immersing ourselves in the city. Of course, there was a tube strike, so we walked pretty much everywhere but I made the best itinerary.

Disney World -- Of course Disney has to make the list! It didn't go quite as planned (my husband got ill so we lost some park days), but it was his first time experiencing the Disney magic. We stayed at Port Orleans (one of my favorite moderate resorts), and maximized the short time we had. We have a re-do trip for 2023 planned!

Dublin -- We spent a few days in Dublin before the wedding and again, had the best time just exploring the city and wandering around. You can't go to Dublin without getting a pint and sitting in the bars listening to live music! We also loved exploring the museums -- so many of them are free!

Giant's Causeway -- While I love exploring a city on my own and immersing myself, there is a time and place for booking tours. And, booking a a day tour to Giant's Causeway + Belfast was a major 2022 highlight. We got to spend several hours walking around Giant's Causeway, had the best sticky toffee pudding, saw some of the Game of Thrones sites, and explored Belfast. The scenery was jaw-dropping and the weather would go from storms + winds to sunny within a matter of minutes, but it was a major highlight.

Roanoke, VA -- Roanoke is only only a few hours away, yet I had never been! We took our dog, and did some amazing hikes (Fiery Furnace), drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, and ate delicious food.

Honorable Mentions: Waco, TX + visiting Magnolia, Hershey Park for Halloween, Las Vegas + staying at the Venetian

2023 plans are starting to shape up (including a MAJOR bucket list trip of ours), and I can't wait to share more! If you're looking for some help planning your 2023 travels -- including Disney + cruises -- reach out!
